What does your day begin with? You are finishing yesterday’s doings and still trying to solve the problem that appeared 3 weeks ago and do you plan each day in such a way that today’s affairs become at the same time the extension of yesterday’s ones and the basis of future ones? In other words do you build your life or do you slave it?
You are sure that problems at work and in activity of every company are the certainty.(we consider this to be the fact). Small, middle or big ones: independent from the size and the character – they must exist, otherwise there is an anomaly in our imagination(this cannot be in other way). In our understanding the companies where everything is all right are oftener an exception than a rule. However everything should be just the other way about: all kinds of difficulties that appear in the company are the result. The reason is inability and wrong leader’s understanding of his own functions and duties. First of all every leader should understand that his right and the only task is to plan, create, simulate the future of his company, and not only from the point to the point of business-plan but day by day. The Director in position is not that one who ably solves all the problems that suddenly appeared in the business that was either trusted him or created by him. The Director in position is the person who plans, creates the future of the company in such a way that the problems cannot simply appear.
Perhaps somebody can object that it is impossible to foresee everything. There are natural, state and some smaller cataclysmes (convulsions, unforeseen situations) or some decisions that you didn’t know about and of course could’t influence them. But that is why he is a leader in order to plan and foresee everything. Don’t you manage? So that means that you are not ready to lead. You can and need to learn this as all the rest.
The readiness to manage means to plan the company’s future (no matter if it is a huge industrial company or a small firm): both the team and each member of it. And this means that the leader becomes responsible for convinient, i.e. working atmosphere in the team. A variety of worker’s moods in the company go in turn to make up the total atmosphere. And as a rule each of them has his own responsibilities: for children’s health, for conflicts in the family and so on. So planning the future of the company the Director must take into account all factors that can directly or indirectly influence the company’s activity. When the person is ready to lead the external consequences won’t bother the business and internal dislocations will not even appear.
There is one more condition that is necessary to create the succesful future of every company – this is guarantee of professional, spiritual and perhaps physical development of the staff.
The readiness to manage means to be able to foresee, to take into account, to organize the future of the company and to be able to be responsible for the future of those who help to create it and who work for it.
And the last. The verb “to manage” as well as the verb “to create” mean unfinished action. In other words formation of the succesful future of any company is a continuous process.
At first sight there is nothing new and nothing difficult here. However everybody will remember the examples of what was known but not used.
The mistakes of the leader.
Cooperating with the companies we got the information that in most cases the leader doesn’t understand who he is and what he wants to achieve.
One of the laws says that if you want to get something you should discern what you need.
Nowadays the leader doesn’t have clear-cut idea what is necessary for him. He cannot set his goal. From the Universe we can get only what we create in our informational field.
So it is necessary to set the goal: “I need the company that will deal with producing this, that and so on. Its profits will make up the definite sum in a month. Its level of the development will be so”. That is a programm that begins to show up on the physical level after we have created it.
After that the programm of development and goal acievement will be worked out.
The leader must always deal with the company development, with the creation of the future. He doesn’t have the opportunity to deal with the current problems, his assistants should be busy with them.
In case if the leader deals with the planning of the company, with the creation of its future, there will be no problems as nobody will want to lay consciously problems into the informational field in order not to deal with their solving after.
