Why?
hr

I didn't care about it. I knew I could do it and that was the most important thing. That's why, when people came to me with their problems I told them "all right" and we worked together: solved their business problems, recovered their health, created families for them.

The laws of the universe work in the same way for everything - not for separate spheres of human relations, but for EVERYTHING. I mean the laws of the UNIVERSE, not the laws of business or health.

We are inside the universe - not the other way round.

That's why, applying the knowledge of how it works, you can solve any problems and not create them again.

That's why, when I came back from the monastery I only dealt with health recovery issues. I "took on" people with any disease, diagnosed the cause for it, explained everything to a patient, developed a program for health recovery and convinced the patient to devote some time to recover his health.

At that time much was done in the field of health recovery. Programs were developed for the treatment of asthma, infantile cerebral paralysis (ICP), drug addiction, etc. People were coming to see me from far-away countries: Turkey, England - but I wanted more. The things which were already working didn't satisfy me any longer; I closed the projects and moved further: I wanted something new.

I realized quite well that one can do everything, that man has no limits. I passed on the torch to my disciples. Some of them went all the way, they wanted to cognize more and more. Others were satisfied with a modest part of what was offered. They took only what was needed to get answers to their questions, solve the problems they faced which hampered their progress (in fact, such people prevailed).

One day I hired a secretary and assigned her to type my book. A little time later when I came to work she was there crying with happy tears. She informed me that she wanted to quit as long as she had found the answers to all her questions in my book.

Having the ability to see past, present and future I decided to use it for business consulting. New things interested me greatly; I wanted to work to the best of my abilities. Sometimes it became absurd and ridiculous when I was so much struck by what I had seen that I wanted to "cry out loud" protecting the others, but no one wanted to listen. People were too much preoccupied with themselves, creating new problems. I realized that it had to be like that, that many people had to "stumble", to "fall down" before they could understand. But my feelings were against it - I wanted to prevent problems.

And again I was distressed and I taught myself to show no attitude. Even if I could see that a person could die I had no right to interfere, because I understood that life didn't stop with the death of a body. I felt better for some time, but not for long. The results of diagnosing countries and states suggested new disasters - we could help. But the governments I addressed with warning messages or suggestions did not respond. They were a part of their nation, a part of their country and they had to go through something in order to be able to realize something. The diagnostics showed that they had no strategic goals, neither an individual, nor a company, nor a state. They set tactical goals, which were understood as strategic ones.

People only reacted to what was happening on their physical level. If a person fell ill we start "treating" him. We do not eliminate the cause - we are trying to cut off the effect, but the cause stays there and after some time it evolves into new forms of disease with graver consequences.

Sales collapse in a company - we start taking measures, introduce rush jobs and deadlines trying to increase the sales. As a result, development comes to a halt and the company runs into depression.

In fact, the development of the company had stopped long before the sales went down. It stopped when they stopped pursuing the strategic goal of the company, when the team of top-managers started reacting to the situation instead of striving constantly to the achievement of the company's strategic goal. In this situation their actions can be compared to those of the rowers sitting in their boats and watching terrified the maelstroms overboard, and who after some time flip over, instead of rowing ashore.

The governments of many countries know next to nothing about strategy as well. They take measures only to prove themselves useful to their citizens. They take measures when there's no need to take them: they fight with terrorists after the trade centers have already been blown up; they send aircrafts with aid after the epidemics has burst out. And it's the same story all the way.

Strategy, which is so much talked about and heard of, for some reason stays unused, unreached, put aside. And today I want to tell you about this. I want to let you know that life is wonderful. I wish that you be happy and enjoy yourselves. I wish your business prosper. I wish that there be no wars. Very little is needed for that. You only have to define what you want to get in this life, externalize it into your strategic goal and… strive for it. And then, there will be no more mischief, poverty, war. You'll never want them to be in your life, anyway. You won't create them. And so, there will be no reason for them to appear. It's all very simple: we only get what we want to get. You might say: "No. Why do I fall ill? Why don't I have enough money? Why am I not happy? I don't want it!"

Of course, you don't. But you're constantly thinking about it.

"I'm sick, my whole body aches, I have no money, my friend is a skunk - she fussed up so".

You create all that, and there's no way you can avoid it unless you stop thinking like that, unless you change your way of thinking and your attitude.

I realized that perfectly well and there was no difference for me, which problems to solve. What I needed was a desire of a person or a group of people to solve these problems.

There are no important questions, there are no insignificant ones. They are all super important as long as they've come up.

Starting from such questions as "what is water?" and "where does the sun go to sleep?" up to the problems of economic transformations of the whole countries.

That's why I deal with consulting. It's not because I'm "smarter" than others - far from that. It's just that I'm a professional in this field and I like it. I enjoy consulting. Man must always enjoy what he's doing. Otherwise, he will destroy himself, start getting sick.

Any development must be directed to creation. It must not cause destruction or problems which solution will require new efforts, health, money and lives of people.

For instance, the grain crops are reduced in order to produce biomass fuel, which causes the deficiency of food products, the prices go mountain-high and more groups of people find themselves below the poverty line.

Development and progress of Mankind are not possible if they bring new diseases, new paupers, new curses and scorn. This breeds wars.

You might reply that wars are inevitable and it has always been like that. But that's wrong - wars have taken a very little period of history.

There can be wars of minds in development and implementing new technologies, but without the side-effects of poverty and disease.

Today development is focused on the enrichment at the expense of something else or someone else. But that's a dead-end: decrease of longevity, new forms of diseases, etc. Is that what we really want? And how much are we ready to pay to get rich.

But what if we pay money for something else? What if we set new priorities? Health, safety, wealth, peace, a world with no fear for future, for our ecology. What if we pay to be able to live in a city where you don't suffocate with exhaust gases in a 6-hour traffic jam?

We developed a program which could eliminate traffic jams in Moscow and offered it to the Moscow government, but we got no response. I was ready to share it free of charge as it was meant for the good of my country. Recently, I've learned that my program has got an author, someone else. But that doesn't matter.

There's another thing that matters. Who am I? What am I like? What do I want my life to be like? When I know what I want I'll be able to tell how I can do that. I'll be able to do it so that my actions wouldn't cause new problems, so that I wouldn't have to solve them instead of moving towards my goal.

I often go back to the thought: "What shall I give to my children?" And I realize that I can give them the world they live in with its joys and sorrows, love and hate. What colors do I use to paint my world? And who will live there? Will anyone be able to survive in this world? I don't know. I don't understand the present as I have seen that it could be done in a different way, that we could change the sunset and the sunrise if we lived in a little bit different way.

The understanding of things gives me an opportunity to help others live without any problems, build their business up and develop it systematically. I can also design the programs of economic development, although their acceptance is complicated as I'm often asked: "And what do I get if I choose your company?" And then I realize that development of a state depends on the personal gain of an individual official. There's nothing striking in it as long as officials are a part of their country, of its people. Don't you take the actions directed to your personal gain at the expense of your neighbor in your everyday life? Little do we realize that destroying our neighbor we destroy ourselves. And you will keep scolding the government little thinking that it is a part of yours.

And a person who's got power and position is like you: he is thinking about his family and children just like you, as nobody else will think of them and take care of them. You might reply: "But his life is better than mine!" No, it's not. It is the same. The thing is that on his level of life there are different rules. And he will not be able to survive there if he acts like you. That's the way we made our world to be.

But I also understand another thing. It takes time for people to comprehend what I am encouraging to. One lady told me: "Your recommendations are wonderful, but they have one drawback - they must be followed"

It's the way our world is. Any transformation requires some actions to be taken. It's the same story for everything.

Sometimes we slip flowers off and still we want the flower-bed to stay in blossom.

I was more and more convinced that all changes in this world were caused by us. Even the weather reacts to our emotional condition. We disturb the environment and on the physical level we get exactly what we have excited. It works like this for everything. That's the way our world is. That's the way our laws are.

I was in a hurry. I wanted to achieve more, to consult all over the world. And today I have offices in Dubai, in London and in Hong-Kong. But still it seems to me I have done very little.

Management technologies I had designed were giving stupendous results, the companies I worked with developed steadily and surely, but I wanted more than that. The development was accounted for new resources acquired by the person himself. And everything changed: health was getting better; family relations were recovered, wealth was increased. But if a person broke down and showed aggression everything collapsed: health went down, company got ruined etc., i.e. aggression generated aggression.

Everything was changing. The process of transformation was incessant. That's a law. I always tell my students: "Mischief be to him, who thinks that his status will stay the same forever". If a person wants it to be like this he must try to create his future. The world around us is like a book everyone writes by oneself.

I was writing it, too. And the things I had written were manifested in time in the form of certain events.

Your position, your situation at the present moment is the most appropriate and the most precious for you. It's yours. You haven't stolen it. You've created it yourself. But if you don't like it, create a new one!

I understood that and I did everything I could for the others to understand it as well.

A young man who had just graduated from a university came to me and talked about business. He said: "I'd like to have lots of money to be able to buy everything I want without giving thought to how much it can cost. What should I do for that?" I recommended him to engage himself in construction and together with him we designed the program of his development after he had specified his strategic goal. One year and a half passed. I don't know if this man still gives thought to the price of the things he wants to buy, however, he now drives a new executive car, he has "Rolex" on his wrist and people call him a successful businessman.

Does it sound like a fairy tale to you? But it's not. He simply started writing a different book - the book of life.

There are many examples like that. I could be giving them on and on, but that won't change your life unless you start writing your book of life in a different way.

Businessmen, politicians, thieves - they are all people and there's no difference between them. The only thing is that each of them is reading the book he had written before.

One day a prosecutor and a thief came to my office at the same time by accident. They greeted each other. It turned out that they had known each other for a long time. They felt no hatred towards each other. Each of them had his own life staged according to the script they had been writing since childhood. We are manipulated by emotions. They make us perform the actions we are proud of as well as the actions we are ashamed of. That's life.

Nine years ago a man came to me. His name is Andrei. At that time he worked as a director of a petroleum depot. Now he has his own business, he owns a holding. He has his own coal mine, oil refinery and he is now building the second refinery. But the richer he became the more uncomfortable he was with me. He kept using my consulting services, but sometimes he did it his own way losing money. His selfishness told him to do it in his own way: "It's not you who has created all that, it's him". For the opening celebration of the refinery he invited me to his car and then asked me before we got to the place that I must change the car so that no one could see us together. He was afraid of someone seeing us walking together.

He needed my consultations but his ego didn't let him admit that, although the entire civilized world has been using consulting services for decades.

But our selfishness sometimes throws us into abyss. It makes us quarrel with each other, make enemies, destroy ourselves and the people around. We can't admit that another person can think in another way. That's a disaster. If I admit that another person can think differently and still be right we'll also have to admit that we were wrong. I cannot defend the thesis because my work contradicts that of my scientific supervisor. My supervisor told me: "If I agree to what you have written I'll have to admit that 60 years of my life were spent in vain". Man cannot be persuaded if he doesn't want that. That's how selfishness works.

New technologies worked miracles, but there was nothing new in them as long as the laws of the universe work in the same way for all and everything. They have always be and they will be always. That's the way our world is. All the things have always developed according to these laws and they will always be.
